Sony TV lineup in 2020! Minimum size 48 inches

Recently, Sony announced 2020 TV lineups, including new 4K OLED and 4K, 8K LCD TV products. Sony has expanded Dolby atmos audio support, apple airplay 2 and homekit to more models, and continues to use Android in its TVs and HDR support for Dolby vision.

In terms of size, Sony's 2020 TV products have a minimum size of 48 inches and a maximum size of 85 inches 8K LCD TV.

This adjustment, or in order to adapt to the current market pressure, especially in recent two years, with the competition in the television industry, Sony TV's development has also encountered new bottlenecks. To a certain extent, reducing the size of products appropriately meets the purchase demand of more consumers, and at the same time, compared with large-scale TV, the price will be reduced correspondingly, so as to cope with the pressure of low price competition of some manufacturers in the market.

In terms of system, it is understood that Sony 2020 TV will be pre installed with Android 9 system, and Sony mentioned two new image systems, one is environment optimization, the other is x-motion clarity for OLED.

Environment optimization can automatically adjust the image brightness according to the indoor environment light to better present the video effect.

X-motion clarity for OLED, which is the BFI (black box insertion) system implemented by LG display in 2020 OLED panel. The BFI system can now operate at a shorter duty cycle to reduce flicker and brightness loss.
