LGD chartered staff to Guangzhou OLED plant to make final preparations for operation

Last August, LG display's OLED panel plant in Guangzhou was completed and planned to be put into production, but due to poor yield, the mass production plan has been postponed for more than half a year. For this reason, the company also believes that it can no longer delay the operation of the plant. This also means that the production of Guangzhou OLED panel factory has entered the countdown.

It is reported that LG display recently completed the selection of personnel needed by OLED panel factory, with more than 100 R & D personnel and engineers. Meanwhile, the travel plan announced by the company is scheduled to start on March 26.

LGD has asked Asiana Airlines, which flies to Guangzhou, to arrange for a charter flight to take off on March 26, the report said.

However, in order to prevent imported cases, Guangdong Province decided to quarantine all those who arrived in Guangzhou and Shenzhen from South Korea for 14 days, regardless of nationality. In response, South Korea's foreign ministry and LGD both recently asked the Guangzhou government to exempt LG team from quarantine provisions, but the request was rejected.

As a result, the market is concerned that China's strict anti epidemic measures may delay or interrupt LG display's manpower dispatch plan. As a result, the large-scale OLED production of Guangzhou plant may be delayed again.
