CES2020: Smart Lock Inventory

The international consumer electronics show (CES) kicked off in Las Vegas on January 7. Founded in 1967, CES has a history of nearly 100 years. It is held in Las Vegas every January. It is the world's largest annual consumer electronics technology exhibition and the world's largest consumer technology industry event.

Therefore, the appearance at CES not only represents the advanced technology of enterprises, but also shows the international influence of brands. This exhibition, in the field of smart home, from the smart flower to the wooden smart display, it is said to be black technology. Among them, the smart door lock has also become the highlight of the smart home category in the exhibition that cannot be ignored. Smart door lock products of domestic/international enterprises such as Philips, TCL, Easthouse, Haier, Hisense and Zhijia have been exhibited one after another, and foreign brands such as Shepherd, August, Kwikset, Alfred and BOSM have also been exhibited.

1.Domestic

(1)Philips

As a new force in the smart door lock industry, thanks to the great influence of the international brand, the rapid development of philips smart lock in China is also obvious to all. Now, thanks to foreign brands and a foothold in the domestic market, philips smart locks looks set to expand overseas with international events such as CES. In this exhibition, philips smart lock exhibited 9200, Pi, 7300 and other smart door lock new products. Among them, the push-pull model 9200 has won the 2019 AWE apland award, which was designed by the German IF design award winner, and the appearance design has been patented by the Hong Kong intellectual property department. Both Pi and 7300 are designed for one-grip opening, and the convenience of unlocking and opening doors is further improved by combining with FPC fingerprint sensor, with functions such as double verification and anti-pry alarm.

(2)TCL

In this exhibition, TCL showcased its "4T" scenario product matrix covering the whole category of smart and healthy LIFE, namely t-home (dream HOME), t-life (beautiful LIFE), t-lodge (time station) and t-park (smart PARK), which once again strengthened the development trend of "AI×IoT" intelligent HOME LIFE. Meanwhile, TCL also exhibited its TCL K1A, K2, K3, K5 and other intelligent locks for the Internet of things.
Among them, TCL K2 Internet of things smart lock has won the German red dot design award, which supports five ways of unlocking, and adopts aero-grade aluminum with multistage metal wire drawing oxidation process. The emergency key port adopts hidden design. In case of power failure or other situations, just press the lower right corner of the panel to open the lid and take out the key to open the door. In addition, two sets of opening/locking buttons are designed internally to ensure a very high security. It also connects to your home's IoT devices. Meanwhile, TCL K3 Internet of things smart lock has the design of opening instantly with one grip and fully automatic unlocking. Meanwhile, it is also equipped with AI human motion detection technology, which can detect the flow of personnel at the gate in real time, so as to prevent prying and hijacking. In addition, TCL K3 has the function of visual intercom, which can also cooperate with APP to use other household appliances.

(3)Easthouse

As an important brand in the security field, Easthouse has a history of 29 years in the high security industry. In addition to traditional security products, Easthouse also brought SECURAM TOUCH, high security vein lock, Smart SafeLock, Smart Hub, Safe Monitor and other high security products to the CES.

(4)Haier

Haier's smart home layout has long been reflected, especially its "5+7+N" full-scene smart life solution, showing haier's grand plan in the field of smart home. On the site of the exhibition, more than 40 smart products of haier household set up a number of intelligent Spaces developed based on the needs of user scenarios.

It is reported, small to the bedroom of a reading scene, large to the whole home of the whole scene plan, from a few hundred yuan to several million yuan, haier can be customized according to user needs. For example, you need a security scene, the combination of camera, smart lock and sensor only requires a few hundred pieces, which can make you pay attention to your home when you go out. 2.Foreign

(1)Alfred

Alfred ML2 smart locks can be opened with the phone's NFC function and card. But it also has a feature that most smart locks don't have: wireless remote charging. Wi-charge, a company that developed the remote wireless charging system in partnership with Alfred, says its technology can transmit power to a door lock, allowing it to open and close at any time without running out of power or having to replace the battery. Wi-charge said the technology could "safely and efficiently deliver several watts of power to a customer's device within a room size distance", but did not say how big the "room size" was. The Alfred ML2 smart lock starts at $699, with an additional charge of $150 to $180 for a remote wireless charging option.

(2)Kwikset

Halo Touch Smart Lock from Kwikset also continues the application background of small Lock body in Europe and America, with relatively small design. The product supports fingerprint recognition and can store up to 100 fingerprints of 50 users, which can be locked or unlocked with one click. On the front of the lock is a simple fingerprint reader with an LED indicator bar. The lock also works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant and will go on sale later this year for $250.

(3)August

This exhibition, foreign well-known smart lock brand August launched its latest August wi-fi smart lock, designed to occupy as little space as possible. The device is 45 per cent smaller than previous devices and has wi-fi built in for use over the Internet.

(4)Lockly

According to foreign media reports, this year's ces really stand out smart lock is Lockly Vision. Priced at $400, it comes with an integrated doorbell and high-definition camera for two-way calls. Support five different ways to unlock the door, including by fingerprint, digital password, APP and so on.

(5)Shepherd

Shepherd says on its website that Shepherd Lock is the first and only smart Lock that can detect and prevent pickpocketing to help protect users from theft. Shepherd Lock converts existing Lock hardware into sensors that use artificial intelligence technology to identify threats and notify users to keep bad guys out.

3.Summary

From the smart door lock products exhibited at CES, the difference between domestic smart door lock products and locks in Europe and America is very obvious.

Domestic lock body is larger, so the product is relatively larger in volume, the change of appearance industrial design is also larger, and foreign lock body is relatively small, so the intelligent lock is more delicate, appearance change is not star. At the same time, compared with domestic fingerprints, password, bluetooth, CARDS, App, spare key lock, such as foreign lock function is more simple, the purpose is very strong, integrated the cat's eye camera is relatively rare, for example, the above mentioned Lockly Vision is foreign markets more innovative products, but if in the home, may be relatively relatively mediocre. While Alfred ML2 smart lock's wireless charging technology is a bit of a novelty, it can be called a real black tech, but if applied to domestic products, we may have to wait a long time.
